Default Hooker headers?

i plan on buying these headers from summit or jegs whichever one has them in stock first... i find it hard to believe that they are only 320 for ceramic coated 1 3/4 headers but they are... now my question is, is anyone running these, if so do they clear everything just as good as oh say pacesetter n all that.... here is the link, thanks!

yeah i saw that too... im not sure, but i would like to order them from summit but it says they will not ship until early december which im not going to wait that long for them... but if i did order them from summit and i got them and they were painted then i would call them and tell them that i order ceramic and make them give me ceramic for that price. their **** up not mine... but chances are im not going to order those cause they are on backorder and might just go with the pacesetter, but iunno this guy in dallas said that he has a pair of hookers for 200 so ima see how that deal works out...

i have jet hot's also, which are to my knowledge the same design as hooker headers but with jet hot's coating and the o2 bungs are on the inside instead of the outside... they went in very easy and have pretty good ground clearance for a longtube... i had to remove the steering shaft in order for them to slide in on the drivers side but no nothcing the k-member or block or any of that nonsense... passenger side went in like butter... i would suggest you do poly mounts when you do the swap, no matter if your mounts are still good... chances are they will go bad especially if you are modding the car and you will have to take the headers back out in order to do them... and they are only like $50 so just save yourself the hassle and do it... they are pretty easy to do once you have everything out of the way just do one at a time and be patient... go ahead and do the poly trans mount also... it's around $20 and is cake to do and then you will be all set

edit: i just looked at the link you posted and mine don't look like that... they are more like these... http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog/summaries/ss88.jpg

I have the hookers, they are great headers, fit extremely well and I searched and searched when I bought my headers, the hookers are the best bang for buck header.

to the above post, yes it is wise to do poly mounts at the same time but no you do not have to remove the headers when you do the mounts, i did mounts after and didnt touch the headers. Your design header is based off the original hooker design, there current design is straight pipes not wrapped around like in the pic in the link, thats jet hot's copy of the original hooker iirc.

summit shows to have the ceramics for 449.95, i know it says ceramics on the 304$ ones but I have a feeling that wont actually be the case. For what its worth I have found that Speedtweekerz has the best prices and are one of our sponsors here if you can support these guys and they give you better prices anyway.

here is the link they have them for 380, and they sell the stainless for 525, pretty cheap for a very high quality stainless header.
