Thank you from Houston Performance Driving.com:

- We could not be more proud of the Houston car scene. Everyone really came through on this toy drive for MD Anderson Children's Cancer Center. The total number of toys donated were over 2000! This is the largest donation ever for MD Anderson. Anyone who came out to the Night Meet or Galveston Cruise should be very excited to be a part of this toy drive. Because of you guys and gals the donations were very overwhelming. It was amazing to see so many people stop by and drop off boxes and bags full of toys. The weather was not in our favor for the meet or cruise. That being said, we are so glad that so many people braved the rain, fog, and crazy rednecks to help bring a massive smile to some great kids.

Each and every person involved needs to give themselves a hand shake and cup of coffee. The Houston auto groups have come together to make a lot of Christmas wishes come true. The toys we received were top notch, I mean TOP NOTCH! GI Joes, Transformers, Lego's, Barbies, Hot Wheels, stuffed animals, coloring books, footballs, basketballs, board games, air planes, and much more. Someone dropped off an entire box of STAR WARS Episode I actions figures. The toys are now stacked at my house 7 ft tall and fill up the entire dinning room.

T-Shirts Sales: Raised $620.00 for a further purchase of toys.

Night Meet:

- The weather was not at all what we thought it would do. It was nothing but wet, mist, and fog. This effected our overall turnout for the Night Meet. However, we received more toys than we could imagine. Thank you to those that came out and hung around for a time. Wish we could have had 500 cars and some exotics, but again the weather hurt us on that subject. Still cars and trucks would pull up and drop off massive amounts of toys. All night long it was like this. Thanks for all the volunteers that helped collect and organize the toys for transportation. Could not have done it with out the vols!

Thanks to Frank-N-Steins for allowing us to use their place to collect toys. Hope everyone enjoyed the UFC fights too.

Galveston Cruise:

- OK! What a wild day! Let's start at the beginning....

North Side Location:

- Proly around 25 cars started out from Kingwood to rally up at the South Side Locations. We had no problems.

South Side Location:

- Was glad to see so many rides at the south side rally point. Picked up a massive amount of toys before we rolled out to Lake Jackson/Surfside Beach. Thank you Pearland PD for escorting up out of the parking lot to 288 South.

The cruise was just awesome to see going down 288. Everyone kept it safe and I really thank you for that. I could not see the tail end of the cruise. We picked up several groups staging on 288 to file in the group. This brought our numbers up to +125 rides.

The Drama: (Rednecks and Galveston PD)

After crossing the San Luis Toll Bridge waiting for everyone to get through. Some Galveston Rednecks in a silver Dodge truck with some 4-Wheelers in tow on a trailer caused a mess. When the group was sitting on the side of the road, this dodge was shooting black smoke on everyone standing along the road. It was a older man with some punk kids that though they were tough. The cruise caught up to the scum bags and the dodge did some blocking and unnecessary lane changes. I saw several people have to go to the shoulder before getting hit. These jerks were nothing more than jealous hatters that have nothing...

There are 2 stories that I've been getting over the last 24 hours....

(1) The rednecks called Galveston PD and lied about someone showing a gun to them while they were blocking the cruise. Even though they were the trouble makers, they may have called GPD and make it sound like they were victims.

(2) Someone did show them a gun and they called it in anyway. However, there are no reports of someone actually flashing a gun, but can 100% confirm that at this time.

*This is what I was talking about when giving the safety brief. There are always civilians and haters that will mess with a cruise. They see all those fast cars and they freak. People just start acting foolish.

Once on Galveston Island the police went nuts. The police cut the group in half. First group made it to Cherry Hill with no problems. The 2nd group was forces to stop. Where 5 - 8 GPD Interceptors blocked off the Seawall and got out with pistols, shotguns, and 1 assault rifle. Crazy stuff, however the 2nd group made it around the mess and joined back up at Cherry Hill in force.

Galveston PD had notice of our arrival, but this was something else. I have not heard what happened to the silver 350 Z, but it was parked on the side of the road when we left Cherry Hill.

Cruise Dinner:

- Thanks to everyone that came to dinner at Salsa's! Think we had about +60 eating at one time. Best part is when people left they thank HPD for the toy drive. Thanks all we need to hear to give up the energy and spirit to continue these events. My fajitas and Modelos were wonderful.

Hope everyone made it home safe!

Sponsors:

Thank you sponsors for your time and donations. Our up most thanks and gratitude for making this event have such a large impact. Because of the effort you out forth the kids at MD Anderson are about to have one hell of a Christmas! During these rough economic times, it's wonderful to see such a strong commitment to fill up those trucks. The only way for evil to prevail to for good people to do nothing. We never though we would receive so many toys. Just mind-blowing unbelievable how successful this toy drive was.

doubtful... all though when i got pulled over the cop did tell me that one person died last night, im guessing it was from that horrible wreck... that dodge truck was a complete tard and if he would have hit any of us, im sure hell would have broken loose, cause i know some you guys have yalls concealed handguns... lol i wanna know what happened with that 350Z
