just curious if could get any money from sellin the stock ypipe and headers and downtube to a scrap metal buyer? i know my friends sold two rims to a scrap metal place and got a decent check

You'll get about .04 cents a pound for the headers and y pipe. Aluminum rims are about .70 cents a pound

You could probably get 4-6 bucks for it, maybe.

I've been quoted anywhere from .045-.055 cents per lb.
I know for sure steel/iron runs .045 cents per pound around here.

yeah i turned in some aluminum wheels i had prob about 10 varying in sizes from 15-17's and even one was a 26 <<< not a typo... that person decided to play chickin with the curb, and he loss.... about 3K... haha but anyways yeah i got like 40 i believe and it was like 150 lbs or so... not bad but you have to have bulk to make any kind of money... if its just one rim then youll spend more money takin it there... oh and that was before the market went to complete hell!!!! i havnt been back since cause it's not even worth it...
