WooooHooo! I passed my State peace officer exam! I've been out of law enforcement for over 2 years and had to challenge the test again and pay a nice fee of course, but damn it feels good to have that weight off my shoulders. I've been studying like crazy the last few weeks.
Good news is my Sgt. at my old dept. is taking over as Chief on Monday and said I can reserve up there if I want to. Getting ready to go work in Kuwait for several months leaving in less than a month so I'm in a hurry to get my comission picked up and get some hours in before then. Can't wait to get back out on patrol

DOD civilian. I work for an Army Depot full time. We have a new site over there in Kuwait for working on MRAPs. I was over in Iraq all of 2008 taking them off the planes and getting them ready to issue to the units and then rebuilding the battle damaged ones.
I graduated the academy just before getting hired on at the Depot after 9/11. Had to stick with where the $$ was at. Reserved for 5 years and messed around and let my license expire. Now with cutbacks in the military, I've gotta have something to fall back on.
