depending on how much you got back you could part it out and make a decent amount on top of what insurance gave you and buy another really nice one, you could buy another one and use the money from parting out the wrecked one to mod the new one, keep the drivetrain as a spare and sell the rest of the car off, put your money down on a c5, your options are wide open lol... i think quite a few people have come out on top of accidents like yours after everything is said and done so don't worry about it, you'll be fine

just found this on craigslist... http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/1496449377.html

If you buy a roller, make sure you get a clean, Texas title with it. And get it the day you pick up the car.

It sucks when you pick up a car, the seller disappears and you figure out that the car is registered out of state.

Don't ask me how I know this.

Thanks, will do. I'm looking for a roller or cheap TA that's black, so I can use my body parts as well if i need to. It's been kinda hard to track down. I have quite a bit of people wanting me to part it out so I may end up selling the car locally as is or parting it out. It's a cammed motor and I had the trans built in 06 to handle higher hp. I just had my rear end rebuilt like 6 months ago with 4.10's, new seals, bearings, and axles.

wow $800? thats a damn good deal. i would take all the stuff out of the car and junk the body. having that repaired would be too much of a hassle and not worth it in the end.

When mine was totaled, the insurance company gave me more than what I thought they were going to give me, and I bought the monster in my sig with the settlement

The way it worked out, I basically traded a bone stock '00 WS6 with 150,000 miles, for a full bolt on, cammed '01 WS6 with 80,000 miles.

Did the insurance company tell you how much the settlement would have been if you went that route instead of buying it back? IMO, I would have just gotten the settlement, and bought another. Just part that one out, and buy another one cause it's going to be **** load lot more to repair it.

currently working with the insurance company to repair it. It won't be totaled. You can easily fix yours.

My frame was tweaked in the wreck. I heard it's way too much to fix plus cutting out the rear panels seems to be a bitch.

I did settle with the insurance company for the car, so I may end up going the part out route. I'm giving it a lil bit to see what turns up first. I'm working with lawyer on a different settlement, and the state of Texas is charging the guy for drunk driving. I'll know more what I want to do with the car after this, but if a cheap roller comes along I'll jump on that.
