wonder whatever happened to rankin rd. used to take my 90 eclipse gst out there around 2000-2002 timeframe. and smoke some of the 5.0, lt1, few ls1 guys that thought their cars were sooooooooo fast

I was there those nights.

Remember James almost beating the **** out of that guy in the middle of Westheimer Tony had just beat in his 67 because the guy didn't want to pay up?

And, my dad blowing people's ear drums out with his wastegate mounted on the crossover pipe. LOL. My dad came out and raced with us. Now, that's parenting!

Anybody remember racing behind Hobby airport? We went there in about 87-88. I remember one night, had to leave to get some beer and when we got back there were cops and ambulances all over the place. Well we went back to hometown (League City) to catch up to all our friends and found out that a couple of cars that were rcing had hit a few "spectators" that were lined up and standing in the street. Never went back there again. As a matter of fact, never went to another street race again. I grew up about 4 miles from the old Houston International racetrack that was on I45.
