LMR vs. Orange Chevy?
I've always lived by this rule/moto while building a street car...."You only go as fast as your pockets allow you to"..... Just takes some people more time to do their build...but it's all in good fun, no hard feelings between anyone IIRCC....calm down fellas, the race will happen in due time....and as said before...Remember...It's the internet

It's all about comprehension skills, which most people don't have. This arguement is very humorous. It's like some guy bitchin about how small his ***** is compared to yours and now your fackin his girl. Hey you win some you lose some, move on to the next....

It doesnt seem funny to me he held on to it for so long. The 2010 are a new platform and it takes a special individual to start modding a new car from day one. OCII has a good setup with right parts that made for a very fast car. His car is still fast and he will always be the first that did it. But like I said before if you claim to be the fastest someone will come out and out run you,it doesnt matter what you have there will always be someone somewhere that is faster. The argument about this car having a stock motor and that car having a big motor is pointless,if you want to claim a title you have to be ready for all takers.
Im not siding with LMR on this,I mean the car doesnt belong to them, it belongs to a customer, but I warned Steven about getting involved with the internet smack talk and this race. Everyone knows the black made 900hp, its expected to be fast. if the 2 cars ever line up its not like the black car can brag about winning because all the bench racers will say " OCII car has a stock motor". And on the flip side what happens if OCII wins, all the internet warriors will clown the **** out of the LMR car, so for them in my opinion its lose-lose. The only way in most peoples eyes the black car can save face is to go out and run a 8 sec pass. Do anyof you know what it takes to make a 4000lb car run in the 8's.
I look forward to the HPD event taking place and it can all be decided there.

the customer of the black car wanted whatever LMR built for him and it happened to be the fastest.

Now the black car built by LMR is the fastest on record. That doesn't mean the black car will automatically win a heads up race between the two because anything can happen in a race. It also doesn't mean crying and whining about who spent what with whatever results is going to change the current standing.

C'mon guys, let it go. The only thing that bothers me is people talking about my $$. I dont go around gloating the money I have or dont.
David Brooks is a super cool guy who has the same hobby as me. Leave LMR out of it too, all they did was build it to the customer's specs. He said he wanted the fastest 5th gen, he paid for it and got it.
Someone said big deal I picked the route thats been done for years, true, thanks to LG, Nitrous Daves, Nano and Sam Miller I can compete with the big $$ cars with the stock junk. Ask David if bothers him....
At the end of the day, someones always faster. I have records that I can gloat about from now on......I was the first 2010 in the 11's N/A with a stock longblock, First in the 10's period, but I did that too with a stock longblock. I think I'll be the first one to run a 9 with the stock shortblock and the first 10 second N/A car.
David and I will line up in the near future, untill then, please dont talk about things that make you look stupid. It is the INTERNET
