Thought some of you might enjoy this C5 Corvette we just finished up. We have only made a couple pulls on the dyno and its already making 1160rwhp on 17lbs of boost. I am very curious to see what she will do at 30 lbs!!!![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)

You guys definitely get the award for building the most badass LSX cars (and posting the most "optimistic" thread headlines). Take this as a true compliment because anytime you can put more than 1000 to the tires, it's an achievement. I just chuckle about the 2000 hp when you're currently sitting at 1160rwhp.
But again, nothing but love for you guys.

That is awesome power!! But why put it in something like that? 600hp will fry the tires the same as 1500hp will in that street car. Again, not knocking the work.... just the application.

Probably because that is what the customer wanted and if he is willing to spend what appears to be a substantial amount of cash, I would create any kind of outlandish monster he wants. Its all about the customer and what they want. Hell if he wanted a 2000hp yugo, then I bet they would find a way to make it work. I am sure those guys were not trying to talk him out of it when he said he wanted a 2000hp C5. Its a lot of work but you get to show off how well of a product you can build no matter what the application is and you get paid $$$$ for it.

The record for an IRS corvette is an 8.4 I believe. If we can keep rear ends in this car we will have the power to back door like crazy!

Just looked at the Bigstuff3, it has an estimated fuel consumption in lbs per hour. This engine on the 1160rwhp pull used 916lbs per hour. If you divide 916 by brake specific fuel comsumpition of .6 it equals 1525hp, which is an estimate of crank horsepower at the current boost level. Hope that helps.
