Yeah, don't gut your cats, its messy and the SPCA does not approve The huge cavity left by gutting actual catalytic converters will kill velocity and cause turbulence. The fake cats are nothing more than offroad test pipes with a fake catalytic shell..

I'm not even getting those anymore. Parents told me I gotta pass inspection as long as I'm living at home.
