Default Keyless Programming for a 04-05 Dodge Truck????

Just looking to help a friend's father who bought a Dodge Ram 1500. Anybody here that could point us in the right direction with the steps on how to program his keyless entry? Anybody that owns a truck alike that could look on their owners manual? Thanks in advance for all the help.

This is what I found through a search, but it said for a 2003.

1) Turn ignition to OFF.
2) Locate the Data Link Connector, its a black 16 pin connecter that is under the driver's side dash, right where your right knee would be. You have to look up into the dash from below to see it.
3) Ground pin 1 of the Data Link Connector by taking a wire or paper clip and running it from pin 1 to pin 4. Pin 4 is ground so you can just short pin 1 to 4 and it will be grounded. Grounding pin 1 tells the system you are ready to reprogram it.
4) Close all of your doors.
5) Turn the key to ACC then back off. The power door locks will lock/unlock. This is the signal that the system is ready for reprogramming.
6) Push a button on your key fob, doesn't matter which button.
7) If you have 2 key fobs, then press a button on the 2nd fob within 1 minute of pressing a button on the 1st fob. Both must be programmed at the same time. If you only have 1 fob then press a button 2 more times to signal that you only have one.
8) The doors will lock/unlock to signal the codes were received.
9) Remove the jumper wire from the data connector."

Ok, found the one for 2005.

. Place the key into the ignition.
4. Turn the ignition to the ON position ( Do not start the
engine ).
5. Press and hold the UNLOCK button on a programmed
(i.e. functional) key fob.
6. Continue to hold the UNLOCK button, wait at least 4
seconds, but no longer than 10 seconds, then press and
hold the PANIC button.
7. When a single chime is heard, release both buttons.
The chime indicates that the system is in program mode.
8. Press and release both the LOCK and UNLOCK
buttons, simultaneously on the fob to be programmed.
9. A single chime will be heard. The chime indicates that
the fob has been recognized.
10. Within 4 seconds of hearing the chime, press and
release any button on the fob being programmed.11. A single chime will be heard. The chime indicates
that the fob has been programmed.
12. Repeat steps 8 to 11 for a total of 4 fobs.
13. Turn the ignition to the OFF position or wait 60
seconds to exit program mode.
14. Your vehicle will remain in program mode for up to
60 seconds from when the original chime (i.e. Step #7)
was heard. After 60 seconds, all programmed fobs will
function normally.
NOTE: If you do not have a programmed transmitter,
contact your dealer for details.

So that should work even if theres no programmed transmitter present.... right?

Unfortunately I don't think you can without an existing key fob. It sounds to me like you need to use an existing key fob to put the truck into program mode.
