Great buy, you'll really enjoy it. I drive the hell out of mine for work/personal use and it's been a good truck so far. How ever, it is a truck, your going to want another sports car.

Yea, right. Once you get used to not having to swerve around every chug hole, smoother ride, more room, visability etc, you'll like the truck better. And so much less attention from the cops.

Congrats! I drive my '01 Silverado HD Crewcab almost daily and love it. Have thought about trading up to a newer one, but almost nothing ever breaks on this one. 140K miles and counting.

might want to go 3" in the rear, 2" will still sit higher in the rear for some reason...

as for the overlay for the bowtie, just pop it off and paint it...or your could get a plain billet one...stylin concepts is where I usually get all my stuff from

I have both, a Trans Am and an 08 Sierra. Trucks make awesome daily drivers because I would hate driving my TA on shitty roads, i.e the entire city of Houston on a daily basis. I did for 4 years, and even now with the QA1s, Fikses and aftermarket suspension, I have to be super fareful of every thing. Sierra just plows right through and rides smooth as hell. How ever on decent roads and when you want to have fun with it, a modded F-body, Vette, or what ever sports type cars are still a blast. Trucks are nice, but they get boring kinda quick. A modded diesel would be fun though for a daily driver. Every single person I know who has sold their cars for a truck, gets bored.

the only reason why my truck keeps me entertained has something to do with the 47+lbs of boost LOL.

I guess Im backwards. Ive never kept an F body for more than 4 months. Most cars I get bored with and get rid of within 2 months. I know all about the modded diesels, I love my Cummins. 27mpg out of a one ton that will spin the tires in 6th. Rides pretty smooth, even if a little stiff, but it doesnt body roll at all. Dont think I could roll the truck if I tried.

Trucks make the perfect daily driver, congrats.

I honestly wish I would have sold the SS instead of my 00 Z71. I hate driving slow because of deer or being worried about my car getting scratched while im in class.

Nope won't hurt it and if you ever need help after you lower it you can get helper bags for the rear and be done with it....
