I don't think that would lift it, think they are the same. The z71/4x4's use a different point on their spindles which raises the front end. Havn't seen a coil spacer on the 99-06's, just on the newer body style. I would say tighten the torsiens, but not sure if the 2wd trucks have them.

If it were me, I would spend the money and get a spindle lift kit. Pretty easy install on a 2wd.

no 2wd dont have the torsion... and a spindle kit is like 1K or maybe a lil less... a spacer is like 100 and im just trying to fit 285 70 17 bfg's with out cutting much... they didnt rub that bad so i was thinking with a 2in lift it SHOULD fit... i have 265's on there now and really want my truck to sit just a bit higher, it seems so low compared to the newer trucks they are coming out with...

Think you should lower it again. It looked good back in High School.

I've got 285 75 16's on my z71, and I had to max out my torsiens to fit them. Think You'll need to do a spindle lift to fit them. That's basically a 33 inch tire. I would search who has ran those on a 2wd and see what they did. Don't think 2" would fit them with out rubbing.
