Default trans am headlamps discontinued????

just wondering if anybody knows whats going on with the trans am low beam headlamp part number 4703 i had a real hard time finding one at autozone and orileys today. the ones i went to had non in stock and the system with 0 in system. i got lucky when they found one for me in the backroom which was not even in their system. goob thing they had good customer service. but just wondering whats going on with that part number dont want to go through the trouble i went through today again.

I just bought one the other day. I had a bit of a hard time finding it, but it wasn't too bad. I bet that's the only car those headlamps fit too. There's another headlamp similar to it (4701 i believe), but it won't work because the pins aren't offset the same where it plugs in. same size, just won't plug in

I bought all four of mine from Autozone a couple months ago, didn't have any trouble though. I hope they aren't gonna make them hard to get, but knowing my luck they will.

Hell I found out the other day that GM has discontinued the driver side quarter panel for 93-02 Camaros. The passenger side is still produced and both sides for the firebird. Go figure.

The autozones I frequent usually have 2 of each in stock.
I had 3 sets of Wagner's Lows and Highs couple months ago I was trying to get rid of.
I shoulda held onto them!!
Btw- birds are not the only ones to use those lights. A couple 80s Chevy trucks, and I think an early 90s GMC Suv used them as well. Or some combo like that. lol.

i seriously doubt they are discontinued... they might just keep minimal stock due to the age of the vehicles (scary that 4th gens are now 10+ years old). i bet the regional hub store will have them in stock if you're willing to drive. amazon's cross refrence list shows 275 applications for these

i see them for sale on amazon (i know that doesnt help if you have a light out today and dont want to wait for them to ship.)

They do fit more applications like blazers, c10, G series vans. Saw two of each at my local Advance Auto. I don't think they move/sell that often hence the auto parts keep minimal stock. On a side note.... I've gone a little over three years with one of my high beams having a hole in the front part of it.... it looks faded, has had water, dust and who knows what else in there.... and its still going strong!!! Granted, I get to use high beams very rarely! I am just saying that these lights might not go out that quick and thats why they don't sell that often causing replacements to be hard to find in stock.
