Thats not always true, with the right tune up and parts the car will shift itself better.

Would the Cobra be interested in a friendly race? I drug a Whippled Cobra silly a few weeks ago, would be fun to see if it was a fluke or not.

possibly, but its already been discussed that the trans shifts all fucked up, takes 1/2 second to downshift etc... I have driven a similar car, and its about .2-.3 quicker in the 1/4 consistently because it lags a little on the shift if you let it shift vs it slamming in gear (sorta like a shift kit). The car shifts harder and faster with manually shifting it.

I was honeslty trying to help, not being an ***... my dad has a c6 4 speed, so it was spoken from experience, not in theory...

why are u guys racing a car in limp mode? or did it go into limp mode after the plug burned up?

it can also f ur **** up too. Even if you shift it in manually it still shifts when it wants to depending on the rpm you attempt to shift it at.

must be in the tune... my dads **** is stock, u press the shifter, it shifts. ive even tried it WOT at 4K before to see if it would hold to redline, and it shifted right at 4K and bogged third.

Wouldnt hurt it to try. Might take some getting used to, but at least it'd help on his starts without waiting for a kick down.

not being an *** but you weren't there so you don't know what it was doing before or after. From what alex said is when he hit it and the nitrous activated it went december 25th on the dashboard and the sumbitch hung at 5600 until he got back out of it. when we pulled up as he pulled over it sounded like it was missing. then he shut it down and cranked it back up and revved and it sputtered. when we left the side of the highway it sounded like it was missing hard core and sure enough got back to the house and pulled the plugs..."uh-oh, where is my electrodes? My motorz eated it."

Thats a shitty feeling for certain. Hope it gets it figured out, maybe I can run him some day when my car is less slow.

So any takers the silver car will be in the 9's when it goes back? That black cobra ran a string of high 11's the night we were there, he had his chance but declined. 18 inch drag radials work just fine.

there you go again with your jokes....if 11.2's is high 11's then 9's must be high 10's right? what were you running when he ran you? the car has a solid axle and some other new goodies. and just like you were running 12's that night and will be running "9's" the cobra won't be runing "high 11's". I would be led to believe you drag raced short buses in a previous life.
