2. Turn South (Right) on 288 - Drive 32mi.

3. Exit CR220 (Coale Rd), Turn Left on CR220 - Drive 2mi.

4. Right On (Business 288) - Drive 8.5mi.

5. Left On 332 - Drive 7.2mi

6. Right on Fort Velasco - Enter Castaways

7. Go to deck area put on (party hat).

8. Ask for a green beer & ENJOY!

Hard to say? maybe 30-40+, which is a good # to have to keep things flowing smoothly. if you have two many people show up it can become congested sometimes & you spend the hole cruise riding your breaks trying not to run over the guy in front of you . Some of the best times I've had was when I went on cruises with under 20 cars, gives ya more highway to play with!

That was the best cruise I have been on EVER!

Very eventful. let's see..I have to think George for offering up a place to stay that night or I would have left with everyone else earlier in the day. I'm glad I stayed....

I met a CRAZY *** BASTARD from Angleton and his brothers and sisters; an old friend AND new ones from West Side Mustangs.
We set some **** on fire.
I almost got my FOURTH expired inspection sticker.
and did pretty good against a Z06.

While at Hammerheads, George walks in and says, commandingly, Joe/Carman- I need to the two quickest cars, the guys at the "Mustang house" are talkin' ****". I laughed. "Mustang house" (I felt like I was back in highschool) It was just funny to hear. But it sounded fun so I obliged.

WSM had a beach house 2 blocks down from the bar. When we showed up I met some great guys from WSM and a friend I had not seen in a couple of years. We talked about why LS1's are faster than stangs (lol!), then there was "fishing" on what people have under their hoods (the whole street race'in ****). No one wanted to play. So we left there went back to the bar.

Other **** happend while at the bar but it was quickly diffused. We then headed out to the beach house and set some **** on fire... You had to be there... Carman, Joel you guys are some wild/crazy ****'s!!!

I'm still Laughing at..."As long as I'm Faster than you" I will always remember that. good times!

man why would u go and post such things. it just makes me wish i had stayed more and more! i knew yall were gonna end up staying as soon as we hit the bar lmao. i ended up on 288 on the way home. i couldnt remember how to get to 36. i havent been to surfside in ages. thank goodness phones come gps equipped now

 

I am going to Galveston this weekend guys, anyone want to set something up for maybe Saturday?
