Oil Pressure Issue?
WAS having the same issue, changed my oil and used a AC DELCO filter and my pressure went back up to 30-35 range at hot idle and was down to 20 at hot idle. I had a cheap *** filter on there becuase I was in a jam at my last job, it was a repair shop and all we had at the moment was the cheap filter. I used the oil I always use, Castrol GTX 10-40
FOR WHAT ITS WORTH when I went to autozone to get my oil filter this last time I opened all the oil filter boxes including : K&N, Bosch, Fram, Fram extra guard, STP, AC Delco, may have been a couple others. And after looking at all of them as far as the internal design where the filter is and the holes that allow the oil to flow through the AC Delco looked like the best design even over the high end K&N and Bosch, the holes looked like they would allow more flow and the Delco is half the price
Like said above flow is more important. You would be surprised to know that the minimum ACCEPTABLE pressure on some vehicles is actually closer to 6psi at idle. Which goes right along with what was stated above 10 psi per 1000 RPM or 1 psi per 100.

I notced the same thing this morning in the Z28, the oil preasure would jump up when I drive or give it a rev then go back down to normal...It also would sometimes drop down from normal as well. The car has fresh oil but I wonder what kind last owner used and what filter as well. I will have to check it out and probably change it as well soon.
Edit: Yeah mine drops to 20 when I am sitting at a light or a stop on the brakes, its weird because when I park and in idle it will go back up. The RPMs also drop down under 1000 when the oil pressure drops down to 20 as well then will go back up when the pressure does.
