Default 12mm x 1.5 to 1/8 NPT

does anyone know of any shops that might have this adapter in houston? tried to order this from summit yesterday afternoon to have it overnighted, and they said because of the easter weekend i'd get it monday. (summit pn: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATM-2277/ )

i have a mechanical water temp sending unit (heads are 241). i believe the su is 1/8 NPT.

the heads are already installed with gm torque-to-yield bolts so i don't want to remove the head to drill and tap a hole.

would really like to fire up the engine this weekend, this is holding me back some!

thanks guys

You could drill and tap an old wheel stud. The brass 12mm x 1.5 to 1/8 NPT adapters are really thin and weak imo.

If i am correct the Autometer mechnical gauge is way bigger than 1/8 npt, it actually uses a adapter that swedges the sending unit to make it seal, and that adapter is 3/8 or 1/2 npt, with that being said even the 1/8 npt electric sending units wont go in the adapter because the adapter hole is too small so u have to drill it out, but i do have the 2277 adapter u need..
