I have the V1 with the blend mount and hardwired. Sits right underneath the rear view mirror.

I bought my V1 in 2002 and still have it to this day. The upgrades are definitely worth it. What I normally do is call them and give them my serial number, they record that its coming in and I ask if they can give it a 'freshening up.' They say additional repairs cost extra but I have yet to be charged for them when doing the update/upgrade ($45).

Concealed display... moves the arrows AND mute button closer.

As was stated, you can.

PLUS- you can program the V1.....

I guess the OP knows which one I am leaning towards....

V1 all the way!

Bought one in 2000, got my first ticket and it was by laser a few months ago.

Got lasered again here in H-town 2 weeks ago, so 2 tickets in 10 years, for sure worth it. (and since laser no radar will save you there, they just tell you you just got FU**ED!!)

Bought 2 more, one for the z, and one for the GF's car. I absolutly love em.

FYI, there is a guy on ebay that takes the concealed display, makes it thin, and then gives you an extra mute button that you can mount anywhere. I'm mounting mine on the z06 on the turn signal, so it will be right there nice and handy. His work is top notch too. Everyone on the radar forums buys from him.

Now to get my laser jammers....

V1 seems to be getting high marks. How user friendly are the updates?

The few times I have been in a car with a V1, the things drove me completely insane. They never stopped making noise.

Check out the Cobra 999XRS large LCD screen and few false alarms for only $200.00 at Walmart!

This is the best radar / laser I have owned!

Yup. I returned the damn thing. It was great on the hwy, but it drove me insane to and from work. They suggest you turn off X-band, etc. Great idea. The cops have the option to use it on their guns. It's a rare occurrence, but I've seen it used.

The radars themselves there is hardly to no difference I have watched countless youtube videos and they were seconds away from each other. IMO the V1 is ugly and out dated looking. Not to mentions how many false alarms they have! My buddys thing doesnt shut up.

And no you dont have to pay for updates? Escort emails me every week with an update.

But Is all going to come down to what features you like better, arrows? Or all the GPS features
