now you can go **** yourself with your old mans dick
Well I did ask, because you could have been one the GM dudes that got layed off in OHIO......

Sorry, I guess I should have looked at your info. Hey, is that FOIA request now that you are owned by the Government? Thanks!

China owns around 1/5 of American debt (as of this past February it's at 877.5 Billion) so it's looking like China basically owns a good chunk of America anyways. Also, just because the Mustang is assembled in America doesn't mean it's built with American parts. Most of the parts are shipped in from overseas just to be assembled in Michigan. Sure, a lot of the profits from the sales of Ford goes to the U.S. economy as it's an American company. GM is the same though. Just because the plant where it is assembled at is in Canada doesn't mean that profit doesn't flow into our economy. Everything is so interdependent now it doesn't even make sense to claim something as complex as a car is "American made". Just food for thought.

You sir are correct, There are no 100% American made cars in the U.S, China owns a good amount of u s debt, Look alittle deeper they also own Bank of America, Wells fargo and Wahcovia. The public knowledge of Us debt is what hey want u to know. But truth of the matter is we are selling them Army equipment and navy equipment. Take a closer look at the housing market it went up alittle right? Now look at the YEN it also went up in Value. China is back dooring the US by keepping the YEN underated on the global market. Did u know a I pod in china cost 10 American dollars? How much do we pay for that **** about 60 bucks right? Where dose the extra money go? Not to the US because the company outsourced who builds it. Now If Obama gets his **** togather and bring some of these companies back to the US we would be out of trouble in a couple of years. AS farAs the goverment owning GM its partly true because I havent seen any comercials that make me want to buy a gm product just some old fart telling me about gas milage and bashing honda

I hear ya, I just do not understand why GM workers are still getting layed off after the company took 50+ Billion US Tax dollars. Either printed by Ben Bernanke or borrowed, either way.

I'm not an economics major, but I believe it is along the lines of "trimming the fat". They can probably get by with keeping those employees, but if they want to put a good distance between where they are now financially and where they might be again if sales go south then they'll have to let some people go to save some cash. Like I said though, a business the size of GM is so complex. It's almost impossible to guess what is going through their heads, but hopefully it is for the best and they learned their lessons and won't need another bailout in the near future.

They are quickly trying to get out of debt because our corporate government has gone DEM, which favors socialism and high regulations. The less time they are owned by the government, the chance of being reformed by Obama is less.

They wouldn't give a **** if the Republicans and Goldman Sachs were continuing to run ****, but it's all going downhill...Everything is so tangled, there are a select few that really know what is going on, the same that are within the top 1% of wealth, and even still, they cannot see the entire picture, it is too much of a cluster ****!

ha why are you still ranting and raving about this? you must be a former gm employee that got laid off. you were probably well overpaid working at a plant like most other union workers, get over it bro.

Any money that is being given back is a good thing, it doesn't matter where it came from. Them giving it back means they can do without it, which they wouldn't do if the company was going down.

You people are hilarious! It's just like when gas prices skyrocketed. I was pumping gas and the guy on the other pump asked me "man, what are we gonna do when gas gets up to like $5?" I looked at him and lifted my $3 one liter bottle of Fiji water to my lips, took a drink and said "you're gonna keep pumping gas and driving just like you are now." See, there are those of you who sit there and say Ford is more American now, but the truth is, you are still on a GM performance site, driving your GM Performance car. It doesn't matter who owns who anymore! This country is gonna run one way or another. Just my $0.02

I would like to point out the YEN is Japanese, not Chinese. You are referring to the Yuan...I think you are also overrating the Chinese as well, sure they are a threat to our economy. However they are heavily leveraged in the US dollar, if they wrecked or attempted to undermine our financial system they would destroy theirs in the process as well. China is known only for their cheap labor, and they are not innovators and their knowledge in manufacturing is imported. They are far behind us militarily as well, most of what you see is the image China projects, basically how they want to be portrayed in the world. They are no where near equal footing here either....That is not to say China should be ignored, that would be a huge mistake.

No one is doubting the fact that it will run.....most are concerned with how it's being run and will run in the future.

Man this is a horrible thread just a bunch of name calling and panty flinging in this thread.

One comment I'd like to remark on is the Toyota reference. I had a 2006 Toyota Tundra for and drove it for until very recently, it was the best vehicle I have ever owned. I litereally had 0 problems with it. Changed the oil ever 3-4k miles with synthetic, and changed the tires @30k miles, those were the only things I ever had to pay for it other than inspection and registration. Perfect truck, and I hear nothing but great things on all of their other vehicles even ones with the messed up gas pedal.

As far as GM, it was smart PR but I don't think they will get in any trouble, I guess we will see.

That is because of the politics. One's political views are as powerful as their entire belief system, so to say that everything they believe is wrong, will cause most to lash out, haha.
