WRX with a large turbo

WRX with a large turbo We ran into this car last night while doing some more shake down tests. He pulled in behind us at traffic light. We turned and I could hear him building boost and knew he wanted to show us up. He came by us and then slowed down, we pulled up next to him and punched it. Our Camaro wants to go left untill the posi grabs,so I made a little correction and got out of the gas. The WRX comes up beside us and wants to go. I'm thinking we only have a 100 miles or so on this engine I'm not ready to beat on it this much. I hear him downshift and start to build boost. Then he blows the horn here we go. I'm still in drive and not really ready. His car rockets out on us 2 cars or more before we even get moving. Oh yea this little import is bad ***. We gain a car back and then I let out there is traffic ahead. I'm impressed and pull up next to him and tell him he's got a fast car and that we will be seeing him again. I turn off and we head home. Hope to see him in about a month then the gloves will come off for real. Does any body know this car, its on the south east side of town.

if it was a light brownish color on goldish wheels it was proably tito, if it was a blue 1 it could be freddy or leonel. if it was either of those 3 listed above they all trap near 130 with ease so nothing to be ashamed off lol.

Yea it was brownish. When our car is broken in and dyno tuned we will look him back up for a proper rematch. We were trapping 127-132 2 years ago. His car is nice My son and I have always liked the WRX's. I doubt that he is legal to run at the strip at those speeds, so it looks like some beltway runs.

you can still trap 131 and not get kicked off the track

Yea we will let you know. It should be some good races. I have not driven this car for 2 years. i need some seat time with the new combo. Tell him his car is impressive.
