Thats exactly what I am doing, getting ready for the zombie apocalypse. Well maybe not zombies, but when Obama's hit squads show up at my front door expecting to take my guns and my freedoms they will have another thing coming.

From: HOU - yeah, you know the rest.
Due to the fact it is a weapon, don't see any safeties on revolvers do you? Plus being made in Austria, where the weather gets a bit nippy and people tend to use gloves, safeties are not to easy to manipiulate. The best safety is the one enclosed in your head, the one that tells you not to put your finger on the trigger until you're ready to fire.

right on. i'm not one for 14 safties on a pistol (i own 2 glocks).
but you cant really compare a 13lb trigger pull on a DA to a lighted SA glock with 3lb. thats slight peace of mind 'safety' right there.
and with the grip safety, there really isnt any 'engaging' it at all compared to a slide safety

Jimmy, I had a model 88 Mossberg as well. Worked really well for me and I really liked it for an inexpensive shooter. Must have put over a thousand rounds through it before somebody made a good offer on it. 00 buck hurts a bit more seeing as how its lighter than a lot of other comparable shotguns.
