Default Battery Draining in GF's Tiburon (Car Audio Question)

She has the stock head unit and stock door/rear speakers. One PPI 5440 amp pushing one JL audio 10" sub. Im not sure where the remote wire is ran from (Best Buy did the install) but when I turn the car off, the amp stays turned on. This obviously drains the battery. What would be causing this, and where can I run the remote wire to avoid this problem? Thanks in advance.

I'm sure they tagged the remote behind the radio, same place they would have tagged the line out converters. There should be a constant wire back there (that they used) and also an accessory wire (that they should have used). They need to disconnect that wire and put it on the right one! I would take it back and make them do it and then never take it to that place again. That is a BIG TIME rookie mistake...

I'd would use the "Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: White/Orange" which would give you more control over when the amp is on/off by linking it to the radio and not the ignition.

EDIT #1: Assuming this is a +5v voltage that is what I believe most after market amps use for the remote-on feed.

EDIT #2: Go back to Best Buy and tell them to fix it.

they probably ran the remote to the wire/fuse which runs power for the radio's memory, switch it over to the one which actually powers the radio
