Yeah. My old mustang blew flames out between the hood and federwell during a backfire. It also blew my airbox into about 100 pieces and wrapped the throttle body plate around the shaft it mounted on. It was awesome!

My favorite experience with this was onetime at a car wash had the good ole fashion Jiffy Lube oil Changer walk over to the bay I was washing my car in and lookin the car over tells me "only thing I see wrong with your car is it's an auto" I responded, I'm sure you are lightening quick at shifting but listen when my car changes gears and imagine pushing in the clutch and manually changing gears. Mine at the time had a th400 with a B&M Ratchet shifter so I still get to have fun just with a little more speed and accuracy 
NAWZZZ drives me totally nuts. I even have a buddy who graduated from UTI in Houston, knows everything possible mechanically and is an expert fabricator...is building a twin turbo 383/6spd for his Iroc and he still to this day says NOS.
i do not use nos because it will put my manifold in danger, also i may blow the welds on the ls6 intake and will fry my piston rings.

Had a guy in an lt1 impala ss tell me my car was slow (Bolt on's, MS4, 416rwhp) and that because he had an lt4 conversion in his impala and had chips that his car would "eat" mine and give me whiplash.
