Default WTF. I ordered a set of headers, and after recieving 3 sets...

I STILL haven't recieved the correct/non defective headers. A sponsor on here had same day shipping, so I ordered/paid for a set of "offroad headers" on 4/29. I called on 5/5 asking for a tracking number, they PMed me back with a tracking number that showed that it was sent out on 5/5. I recieved a set with the fittings for an 01-02 camaro. I called, and then they sent out another set since I wanted a set of offroad... I recieved the other set of headers and the 02 bungs were on there, but no holes were there for the 02 sensors. I called them, and they sent out another set. I recieved them a couple days ago, but just now got around to opening them. Once I opened them I was expecting a set of non defective offroad headers. What I got was a set that still had the 02 bungs welded shut, and on top of that... one of the bungs was welded on the wrong side of the pipe . I'm not saying the sponsors name bc they've been trying, I'm more or less posting to vent. I'll be calling them in the morning

Here are some quick pics I just took...

I'd just get a refund and get some American made headers!

why do i keep hearing bad things about hooker? some guy on here not too long ago had got a hooker y-pipe where they didn't fully cut out part of the pipe at the merge. was choking down the passenger side bank to about a 2 inch hole.

i have pacesetters and i'm fairly happy with them. the coating isn't holding up quite as good as i would like but they'll survive. if i had a bigger budget i'de definitely buy kooks.

That's weird that your O2 connections were welded shut too. At least you realized it when you unpacked them. I found out the hard way, I was in the middle of my install when I realized that mine were welded shut. I have the non-coated Pacesetter LTs (they come painted black). Had to stop in the middle of the install to go buy a drill and bits.

Does anyone know why some headers come with the O2 connection welded shut??

From the pictures, it doesn't look like the O2 bungs are welded shut. It looks more like they welded the threaded rings where the bungs should be, but never drilled through the wall of the header. Strange they would do it that way, but maybe they figure you might want to put O2 sensors in later?

The passenger side headers are definitely on the wrong side, though. QC done by a blind monkey.

You should have just taken a drill and 10 minutes of your time to the 2nd set.

i agree about you giving up on that car. we will refer to those headers as "saki specials" meaning they had too much saki the night before.
