No reason to yet. I'll give them a fighting chance, because you never know what can happen. I just hope if something does let go that the driver and the car stay safe, because like I said ANYTHING can happen. Hell the Orange Lambo spun out 3 time on 3 different passes. He was VERY VERY lucky that it didn't catch and flip. The car (Kelly's) is a VERY well built car and it's VERY clean! I have no reason to trash talk about the car because there is NOTHING wrong with it. I remember the first time both Steven and Josh showed me the car and I was VERY impressed with Josh's work on the turbo kit and the chassis work that was done to it by Fulmer (?).

The mile is nothing like the 1/4 mile and the difference is 8-9seconds vs 22-24seconds at WOT when you are at FULL load in an over driven gear puts a LOT of stress on a motor, transmission, rearend, etc... I know Josh and their Engine Builder know this, but getting EVERYTHING to work together at the RIGHT time is the key.

Can I get in on this? I have a veryon with a 500 shot of gas, plus i bored and stroke the motor to 900 ci . I also added 4 106 mm turbos. I should be able to hit 400 mph in the mile.

For the wager I want some KFC, two fat chicks and a 40'ty ounce.

Chris, I just did the math. If Josh dosen't win this he will have paid for you to go to freebirds with steven right around 100 times!!

That will in turn cost Josh money in sales while steven is out eating. Say one sale per 2 times Steven is gone with the average sale around $1500. That's $75,000!!! **** this could hurt worse than anyone imagined. Pair that with the possibility of blowing up a customers car and losing chris's $500 in gas every other month and you are looking at a bad year. LOL!

All of the above is pure bs and should be taken as so, anyone who can't handle the joking atmosphere in here should promptly leave the web site. Thank you for you're cooperation!!

El Bandito once told me at Outback Steakhouse that "there is no 't' in 'can.'"

IT's an lsx car is all that's been said, and it's Josh's customers, going for 2000hp+ nothing else has been said.

Chris was starting it cuz josh mouthed off or something at the shop, and it makes chris upset by **** talking when he doesn't even have a car, just drives his customers.

Josh says my car 440ci w/82mm turbos, or Kelly's car 4xx ci w/85mm turbos will have the hp(1600 to 2000hp) to make it happen. I have no doubts about making the power, the cars staying together will be the problem.

Even if they only get close they still win!(not the bet) I wonder how much business will be had from having the cover and center spread in GMHTP (and who knows what other mags), for making a 240 mph pass.

1600RWHP that holds ... $1000 in my hand
2000RWhp that holds ... $1000 in his hand (well maybe... They seem to forget about the most important thing called aerodynamics)

The Lambo that did 250 made 1600-1700RWHP. It held together due to a lot of factors. Mainly that it's built STRICTLY for the mile. Not roll racing, cruising, drag racing, etc... It is also VERY aerodynamic and is meant for high end speeds.

I love the LS1 platform. Hell I was in it for a very long time, but 2000rwhp will hold for 7-8seconds, but 20-24seconds ... eh???? Then you got to think about tires, etc.. You can't run ET-Drags in a full mile stretch. There is a LOT of other factors when it comes to the mile. You can't look at it in a drag racers mentality which a LOT of people do.

If they do the "wind tunnel testing" like he was telling a few people they will be doing, they will have MORE money in a 4th gen Camaro than the Lambo guys do that hold the record. That's including the car.... I know by saying this it will upset Josh and he will probably yell at me again or try to fight me on Saturday...

I hope the best for them regardless. It would be an upset for EVERY car out there if they did break 260. Hell even the bikes would be a little upset because they are still in the 260 area. I will be at the mile with $1000 in hand and if they win I will congratulate them and hand Josh the $1000. If they do not... I expect Josh to walk over to us and hand us a $1000, I don't care about anything else he has to say. The guy has proved he doesn't like me many of times now. But regardless $1000 is "chump change" to him personally, so I don't think it will hurt him to bad.

Make sure you put a parachute on the car.. each time that Lambo had to stop he went into a spin.

I did one last night on the way home. The Rabbit came on my Pioneer Screen and said "Do a barrel roll!" so I had to follow his command!
