Pappas Steakhouse is my favorite in the Houston area.
Perry's CAN be excellent on a good night, but I've been there where it was terrible also. It's really hit or miss for me.
Taste of Texas is good, but not good enough for what they charge or the wait that you have to endure to get in (no reservations accepted)

Trust me when I say there is no better than STRIP HOUSE STEAKHOUSE downtown Houston.Ruth Chris is a cheaper good steak,but if you want the best grab your wallet and go to "Strip House"
