Chon, Yeah I know them from here and there but I dont really kick it wit them. Just in passing. Yeah edafe has his engine out now and getting full FD spec cage and tube chassis before he swaps his ls1 in there.
COMPLETE ASA engine. Not just cam
ls6 bottom end...
853 heads by LPE
intake coming soon.
Gunna start with a LS6 base map and tune from there.
Hoping for 500whp after tune.
Wish me luck..

Jesus it's an asa motor. That's what I thought too. Why 853's? But did a check on the motor.

ls6 block is a step above ls1, better valleys and Block cooling. And the metalergy in the block is stronger than the everyday ls1. So how is a ls6 not better than a ls1.
And the 853 heads that are on the engine are completely redone by LPE. By no means are they stock heads. Keep in mind that these heads are completely redone by lingenfelter. Look at the coil packs, They all have cooling fins... How can you say there is nothing special about the motor. It comes from LPE, These engines are electronically limited to 430hp. Whatever the case, I'm happy with what I got, Just sharing my engine and thought you guys might get a kick out of the idea of LS engines in a 350z.

By no means am I bashing your motor in anyway or your build. But really the ls6 block isn't much better then an average Ls block. Metalergy or not . The ls6 valley cover convesion isn't very hard to do anyways. Your coil packs look like truck coil packs. So again nothing special. Worked 853 heads or not they still are going to flow less then worked 241's or for that matter worked 243's.
While your build is nice it's not the first Time it's been done or seen.

All I was getting at was I garuntee what u paid for to buy the name ASA and ls6 on your block u more then likely could have pick up and ls2 with with worke head for cheaper or hell an ls1 , with valley cover conversion , with worked heads. But that just my $0.02 u have no reason to preach to m me trying to convince me a ls6 block is better when I know what it is and what it isn't.
Its your build and if it gives u a warn and fuzzy then so be it. But it is the Internet and if u post something people will always have opinions of what is being done. Even if u don't like what they have to say.

But in the end 853's and 291's are the same ****, different casting methods. So all this 853's flow like **** blah blah blah, flow just as good as 291's. 293's are another story. But, I'm not the type to doubt a proven company like lpe. I understand everyone's gunna have thier opinions, you just came off like nothing going on was significant but what u got going on. And this engine does make me feel fuzzy, not many lingenfelter anythings in san Antonio. I stayed away from ls2 cost vs gains are insignificant. I'd go with a ls1 and stroke it 383 before I bought a ls2, it'd be cheaper and make better numbers. More benifits for ls1/6 swaps then the ls2. Wish I could afford a ls7 tho.

You could always just spend cheap money and get a 5.3L and slap a turbo on it! If the motor blows up buy another one for 500 bucks. If i ever get into a Trans Am again and the motor is no good I am gonna go with a 5.3L and a turbo. Cheaper and you can get just as much power out of them.
Chon - I got those blackbird stripes for you when you want them. Dont know if i will make it to castroville friday but could prob get them to you some other night this week or weekend.
