I wish....
I had an 87 flame red metallic GTA hardtop with digital gauges that I loved- should never have sold it.
Have a 89 TTA and a 91 Trans Am vert stashed away- both really fun cars
I think the 3rd gen catches so much hell because most of the ones on the street look like they have been jumped off a few curbs.
give it a few years- the 4th gen will be getting slim shady jokes like the 3rd gens get mullet jokes.
I'm with Neil, I really like the 91-92 Z28's, and I'm also a fan of the GTA's and IROC's.
You know, any 60's muscle car handled like a tank too, and by today's standards, they weren't really all that fast. Sometimes it's just the car that you like. I like the 3rd gens, as well as 4th, 2nd, and 1st gens, LOL.
5th gens................meh

I would like a 92 Iroc since that was the year I was born. Or maybe a Bird', idk.. But everyone knows late second gens are king!! It's the mullet mobile that actually has some style.

The IROC-Z run went from 1985 to 1990, Chevrolet dropped the model after the 1990 model year as it's partnership with the International Race Of Chanmpions had ended. 1991 debut a refreshed return of the Z28 which had been essiantaly dropped after I believ the 87 model year. But with Z28's 1991 model year debut/return came a new nose cover, ground effects and wing treatments. The nose piece lost the IROC-Zs "Camaro" lettering and a bow tie was put in its place. The 1990 model year changes carried over such as Speed Density and driver side air bags, remained for 1991, I believe the in either 90 or 91, the 2.8 V6 was also dropped for the new 3.1. I'm a tad rusty, but I know later L98 tuned port cars of 1987-1992 model years cars well.
Third Gen facts
NO L98 was ever offered in a F-body before 1987.
NO L98 F-body ever, and I mean never, ever came with a factory manual. 91-92 Firehawks, got a ZF6 and a Dana but they were done so by SLP, not GM. You could not order a manual with the L98 F-body, GM never built a manual L98 that wasn't a C4.
L98 RPO code is B2L, all L98 cars have a number 8, in the eight spot of the VIN.
The 89 Trans Am 20 anniv is not a GTA, it's a Trans Am, 91-92 Trans Am drop tops are not GTAs either, there regular Trans Ams.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
And truthfully, the third gen was an incredible seller in its time. GM killed the F-body because of the 4th gen's shitty sales.

If that's the car that you're referring to anyway
Great looking cars

Great looking cars
Grimlock on here has one that needs to be saved. 1 of 24 hard tops with leather interior. It's a bucket right now, but it has potential

Note that TTA's do not have the lower air extractor in the fender as the trans ams had- it was built with GTA fenders on it.
