Default Verizon Blackberry Storm
A friend of mine bought his daughter a cell phone and didn't pay attention that it was Verizon and they are on AT&T service. Does anyone know how to convert it to work on AT&T or will it not work period. Unlock ? Jailbreak? Whatever they call it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it will NOT work, At&t use sim chips and Verizon doesnt.

Wrong - The Storm has dual mode and can take a SIM card it just needs to be unlocked to accept the SIM.

Yup. If you tell them you will be traveling overseas with it they will give you instructions to unlock it.

I unlocked my storm and used an AT&T sim card in it a few times. Just can't connect to their 3G networks. Works fine otherwise though.

I have had 4 BB storm 1's and i BB storm 2! all of them are a marjor PITA! I am canceling with verizon this weekend and switching to AT&T.

I plan on sticking with Verizon and getting a Droid, probably the Incredible. I've been with Verizon for years, and I've never really had a problem with them until lately with all of the dropped calls and bullshit. I'm going to give them a little while longer to straighten that out, and if they don't I might be looking for another carrier myself.

same exact problems im having! im tired of it and the trashy phones i have recieved.

Hell yeah it is. I don't know how they still get people to buy this junk. It has THE slowest internet I've seen since dial up, and the damn thing freezes up and I have to take the battery out and reset the damn thing just so it'll work. Every time I see that damn little clock I just want to throw it out on the freeway
