Default double tap center mass, one in the head

All weapons recommended are fine firearms. Shoot them all, choose the one that is the most comfortable and you are the most acurate with.
A pretty gun that you can't place most rounds in the ten ring will probably get you dead.
just a thought.

That is priceless Ross. I was thinking it as I was scrolling down and then saw the picture LMFAO! Back on topic, I was going to get an XD40, my mom has it and loves it, but when I was shopping I came across the Glock 30 and ended up making a better deal on it etc... I am happy with my choice it shoots great, fits my had well etc...I'll be looking at the thread later to see what you picked up etc...

i used to own a xd45 (stolen) and currently own a p220. i loved the xd for 2 main reasons, mag capacity and mine was extremely accurate. down fall to the xd, in "condition 1" (14 rounds) it was a little heavy. i ran the RBCD ammunition, 90gr bullet, 1/3 the weight of a ball round. that even'd the weight out and it shot great. I have only put 100 rounds through my p220 but i am pleased with it so far, ill show it to you friday or saturday.

ok so the story goes, i walked into the arms room, which is a gun shop owned by one of my old rotc instructors(captain james if anyone knows him). i ask what they had in the way of sig 45's and xd 45's. the first gun they pull out of the counter is an xdm 45. the guy says here ya go...i say holy ****...and holy **** again when i read the price tag. so the guy says should i grab the paperwork? and i was like uhhhhhhhh YES. haha i was in the shop for 2 min and already started the paperwork on a new gun.

anyways here it sits...

took it to the range ealier today. put 50 rds through it.

so over all i am very pleased with the weapon. it's extremely accurate. first time out i only had about 8-10 rds out of 50 that were off the group. i was expecting more considering i am not used to shooting a polymer gun at all. also i wasn't used to the high capacity clips and i was loading full mags and shooting them straight through each time. where as i have been using my old 1911 for a plinker for the last 2-3 years. it's a big difference. none the less i think i held a decent group. with some practice i'm sure i'll tighten it up a lot. i did find that toward the end of each mag my shots started to spread out. not sure if it's from my aim getting a little shaky or the gun actually getting nose heavy. either way it's nothing i can't get used to.

i went into this as a skeptic so yes i had to nit pick and i did find ONE THING i don't like.....the magazine release is sticky. but i think after a lot of use it will smooth out. but for now its kind of annoying me haha. other than that i really don't like the little crappy mag pouch, speed reloader, and paddle holster. i think springfield could have kept all that and maybe thrown in one of the XD lights instead. but that has nothing to do with the actual firearm.

The Arms Room...Are they relocating to the newer Target/Home Depot shopping center? I see they will have an indoor range.

Nice gun.

ive shot the xd 45 and its nice but if your budget is 850 id go with an FN FNP45, 14 or 15 round mags completly ambidesterous, fiers is single action or double action so its nice for carring you can have a round in the chamber and in double action so that it has like a 7 lb triger pull and then every round after the first is single action with a nice hair triger, its just an all around great gun i love mine and ive shot all the others but the sig. and only paid 675 out the door with 3 mags.

Is it going to be a pay each session range or a membership type range?

it should be a pay as you go range. i haven't heard anything about memberships, doesn't mean they wont offer them though. it's possible.

I plan on getting the M for the larger capacity, but have you shot both? I shot my XD40 back to back with shooting my buddies XDM40 and literally felt zero difference between the two. The M is supposed to have a slightly lighter trigger and a "match barrel" but we couldnt feel a difference in the triggers and they both shot just as tight of groups.

Just get some more time behind the gun and reel some of those flyers in!

Quick Reply: SIG P220, XDM 45, or USP 45??
