When is Louisiana going to rename itself, "The feel sorry for us state"?

Not knocking everyone in the state of Louisiana or everyone who was born and raised in Louisiana.
I'm just sick of turning on my television every day and hearing about Lousiana this Lousiana that. They're not the only state affected by man made or natural disasters. It's been 5 damn years since Katrina and they STILL like to include that information when talking about this gulf oil spill. The Mississippi coast was hit harder by Katrina than Louisiana and we don't constantly hear how bad it was/is for them...same goes for this oil spill.
Galveston was virtually destroyed by Hurricane Ike and look what happened down there. The people of Galveston rebuilt (quickly) and moved the **** on.
Maybe my bitch is more towards the worthless national media. And, if you think I'm dumb enough to think/assume everyone from Louisiana is a self pitying worthless lazy-***, please wake up from your dream world.

Ok Im not going to bitch much, but I just relocated to Bossier City, for my job. I only have 1 comment and 1 question. First, as a consumer of goods like everyone else in the WORLD, why is it when I walk into a gas station or subway or even wal-mart I feel like everyone that works there doesnt give a rats *** about there job or the customer? If u dont like it, leave. And now for my MAJOR BITCH, why is it 1 out of every 1000 cars on the roads in Louisiana, the driver doesnt know how to use a ******* turn signal? I might just change my job, and become a peace officer over here and target all the no turn signaling *&^%%&*%^%s. My $0.02

This is my only comment for this thread, but A-*******-Men to that! I have a house in Galveston and was down there 2 weeks after Ike. I saw **** that you just wouldn't believe. Did the media come running down there to hear everyone's sob story? Did you hear everyone bitching about how the gubment didn't do **** to help? Damn, they don't even know how many people from East Beach washed out to sea and were never found! It really made me proud to be a part of it the way the people of Galveston took care of their business and cleaned up their island. It's been two years since Ike and 5 years since Katrina. ******* pull yourself up by your bootstraps, get your *** to work cleaning up your own city and then get back to the party that is Louisiana! /rant.
