OP: you need to replace the header bearings. They have gone bad the heat doesn't spin out of the exhaust system like it should.

Are you pushing the button on the stick with your right hand? I've seen some cars without a button and just a ball. I'm assuming it's some type of anti-theft device.

BTW your water temp. gauge is useless. It's just a dummy gauge.

ahhhhhh, thanks man. i always assumed the lever on the side of my steering column was the anti theft device. you know click it up or down and it arms. it jhas the blinking light like the anti theft. my bad. i guess thats useless too like that dummy gauge
