We have been going to Biff's on Friday nights some. Bigs was shut down back in February or March I believe. A few of us venture out to Mama Margies and Academy on an occasion.

In case I wasn't being perfectly clear earlier: the Cabela's meet is lame and tame compared to the North meet (previously described). Nothing "wrong" with it, but you will find faster cars and more of them at the North meet in Cedar park.

I go to the Cabela's meet once in a blue moon when I feel like a longer drive and also to visit a few Southside friends, but if you have to pick between the two... the North meet wins hands down.

Depends which north meet? The early north meet at 1431 in back of Carl's Jr starts around 8. Then from there everyone usually cruises to the late meet at around 10:30. The late meet has lasted till 2 sometimes. The early meet, everyone just hangs back, good place to meet new people and see some pretty bad *** cars (and trucks), the late meet is where the fun is at

Just an FYI, the cops at the late meet are cool, they come talk to us about our cars, and joke around. I don't think we've ever had any trouble with cops at the late meet, other than one time where they moved us into a spot with more light, but they were cool about it.

Address to that Carl's Jr is:

There's a bunch of other stuff like Chick Fil-A, Starbucks, etc. but one address will get you there if using a nav system or mapquest, etc.
So this is where you mug folks lol! Though, whenever I need cash for new mods I mug folks on the River walk where the bats come out. They don't even see me coming LOL

Hrm...maybe I can check out the North meet this weekend. The early one though - I'm too old and lame for the late one.

Yes go. So you can check out my wheels, and we can swap afterwards. If not... I'll just follow you home and take them

Come on up! Be sure to get there not too long after 8. About 9:30 or 10:00 a lot of the nice cars start leaving and you will miss the chance to check them out if you arrive too late.

The Cabelas meet is a lot of older dudes in classic pickup trucks etc. Some modern muscle, but not anywhere near the amount that shows up at the North meet. I know, I've gone to Cabelas about 5-6 times even though I live on the North side of Austin.

After the North Meet, we often visit Mexico. You won't get an invite to Mexico at Cabelas.
So why you hate'n on da older dudes Tod?

Dont listen to TWS he is lying.

The real action is at Cabelas, nothing goes on up north. Out front of Cabelas they shut I35 down at 11:00 and run it like a dragstrip until about 2am. The cops come out and block off the road and everything.

No hate. They just don't typically have interesting late model stuff.

I don't want to sit around and talk about carburetors and setting ignition points with them. "What cho doin' with a computer in your car?! That sounds foolish! Better to have a nice carburetor than all that complicated fuel injection nonsense."
