At least that was a different read.

But after wading through that, I am shocked to say (or even think, for that matter) that I would seriously consider the 5.0 over the SS.

That SS looks like total **** compared to that CS edition, I've always hated the big fog lights as well, loved the Bullitt look.

Off to look at good pictures of 5th gens, those pictures made me sad.

The SS Camaro is getting a pass being compared to the GT.
But that would be pretty much a modded Mustang. Wonder what would happen if a boosted Camaro was put up against a GT500.

Really?

Did you just say that?

Besides, isn't the new Z28 supposed to be the competitor for the GT500?
I don't know **** about that, just what I've heard to be rumor'd.

That’s good news, but it gets even better: the Z28 will be a legitimate contender for the “top dog” crown. How does better than 550 horsepower sound, from a supercharged 6.2 liter V8?
Yep z-28 will be compared to the gt500. Z-28 is also suppose to be out in 2012 and around the same price as a gt500.

It will have the cadillac cts-v motor in it from what I hear

I am or have been a diehard GM fan but the Camaros suck to drive vrs. the Mustang. The Mustang is much friendlier to ride around in and honestly is a little funner to drive. The high window seal on the Camaro lost me it sucks.
I would have to say car for car the Camaro looses this time out. Even with the upcoming Z-28 package the car is the same. Sorry GM.

I could care less about seeing out the rear veiw mirror. The mustang does have more bells and whistles. But the camaro has power. Unfortunately its a little heavier. And the gearing is more for the highway. I'll still take the Chevy over Ford.

No that's just the factory available top trim mustang, why they always compare the mid trim mustang to the top camaro, is beyond me

camaro SS is not going to be top level camaro the z-28 is but it isn't out yet. So give it another year and they will compare the two. Also the SS and the GT-500 have been compaired before.

4.10's will help the camaro a bit more due to the fact its a bigger gear change for the camaro than the mustang. not much but every little bit helps.

You're still paying off your camaro for the next few years.
