Looks to me they run pretty close, but the veiw from the SS sucks compared to the stang.

Personally I think the camaro will be a cheaper car to mod w/ better results. The mustang is going to take a bit more cash. But for just off the showroom floor looks to be more fun to drive.

I worked up a little for the gear ratio change to 4.11 in both cars to show the acc dif and how much of n advantage the camaro will have from a simple swap.
Here is the mustang





notice a 10.2% change in accl.

Here is the camaro




Notice a 19.1% change in accl.

I know the tire sizes are not right but that wont make a difference on the %. The % will also be the same w/ whatever gear ratio you choose 4.10, 4.11 doesn't matter.

every magazine i read the camaro wins in the races. its the twisties where the losing for the camaro starts to take place. it seems it would be all driver though, both cars are good though and wouldn't mind either of them. well idk ls3 is a amazing engine.

Both car's are easily capable of 12's. 12.8 is actually a few tenths slower than what some gt's have claimed (seen a post of 12.5 once for the gt, i have also seen a 12.5, 12.6 in the new SS)

You are a idiot. So I am just going to state this once because you obviously haven't read anything that I have wrote. The mustang looks a bit more fun to drive when you are going to a good warranty car.(looks because I haven't had the chance to drive one) If I buy a car I am not planning on leaving it that way and from what it looks like dollar for dollar the camaro will be way cheaper to mod. Gears(get more out of it % wise) and cam(only one).

Will a Camaro be cheaper? I think it really depends on how fast you want to go. Gears, tires, LCAs, tune and a mild hit of spray will put a new GT very deep into the 11's.

Sure, you can probably go further with a Camaro (LS3 based stroker motor), but that's not too cheap.

The new Mustang is a great choice for your average muscle car enthusiast looking to buy a new car with a $40k price cap.

I plan on being deep 11's off of headers, intake, 125 shot and a tune with DR's on stock wheels. Then mustang hasnt done anything that hasnt already been done on the Camaro.
