All you do is come in here and post about how the mustang is faster. LOL. If its not important to you why is it all you talk about? Why is it all you do is go to GM websites to "correct" information. Yes you would, IF you lived your life a 1/4 at a time, I would also be butthurt if my brand new shiny camaro's paint started peeling off while the brake weights are flinging in the air and my clutch stayed stuck to the floor while I snapped my output shaft using launch control, and my car died from a misplaced cable while my windows forget where they are in relation to my doors, and I had to have my fuse pulled so my car would learn what kind of gas it's drinking and go a bit faster all while running 13.3's in the 1/4 and calculating my DA so I don't post super slow times for everyone, and entertaining the kids at the mall because they saw "bumblebee"

I'm not hating on it at all, but the ford nut swingers are coming here and posting like this is the second coming fo Christ when in reality the car is impressive but not doing anything that isn't already being done on lsx platforms for years. The cars ar so close in performance yet the ford peeps act like it's comparing 2000 ss vs a 2000 gt.

oh man this nutswinging is great...
both cars are nice... def a ugly camaro to compare to though right there ehhh... and im pretty sure the new 2011 GT costs more then a SS compare so that sounds on par comparing.. lol the seconding coming of christ ya i hear ya there my ford buddies been giving it to me like that since it was announced.. but really it is badass but still GM has been doing this longer and better
wasn't that video of the LS1 SS vs 5.0 GT a stock SS.. im pretty sure it was maybe just lid/intake but it looks like stock exhaust because that's about right what i figured it would run from a roll against a 5.0 GT
from what i see are 5.0 GT's cutting low low 13's and a LS1 SS (LS6 blah blah) cuts 12.9's 13.0's with a good driver
i havnt had the chance to run up against any 5.0's yet and even then i guess it would have to be modded we got another 3-4 years before we start seeing heavily modded ones on the street when the warranties are up

also you clearly haven't heard of the GT's running 12.5 to 12.8 stock have you? or maybe you just filtered it out or ignored it? because you feel better saying all they run are 13's.
I think what a lot of you don't understand is the new GT options out at more than the SS. That's because it has more/better options available (NAV, reverse cam, audio options, etc.). Base price has been quoted and the new GT is actually lower.

You must have skipped a few posts. This has been pointed out a couple time already.
Take away the Mustang's navigation and the 2 cars are equal in price.
