but i mean if it gets traction then awesome.

and i don't really see what's so bad about questioning traction in a 1200 hp car

i guess i just can't think on the same level as all you vette owners. oh well.

The vette in question is still an irs car. As Tiago said 18" DR can be made to work and work very well. An 18" drag radial is what my car used at the track and for the street runs. My car actually made more power than this because I had the spray on it.

jw how bad were you fighting traction?

because ive seen cars with 700-800 hp on a better tire fight for traction.

JK...good numbers Mike. Shawns motor is in his car. Should be able to run the same times or better than you with 400whp less.
BBR Performance
1994 Camaro Z28 Convertible
396 All Forged LT1
AFR Ported 227 23 degree
LE Stage 3 Ported intake
Strange 12bolt 4:11 gears
Built 4l80E
3800 Precision Stall
2 Stage BBR Nitrous System Progressively Controlled 250 each stage.
And a few other goodies....should be good for 8's and should be interesting. All done for a little under $20k.
What did they charge you for all the work? I might be interested in letting them do mine. I dont have the time to work on my Vette with all the customers. Got all the parts....just no time to do it.

400 whp less than 1200=800whp
nitrous accounting for 500whp means that a forged 396 stroker only makes 300?

also thats a lot of nitrous for an lt1, amirite?

Jeff Gilbert (SSANDTA)-9.06@151.48, 96 TA 398, D1, A3, LT1 intake, AI TFS LT1 heads , OBD1 PCM, 100 shot, 3562lbs

jakesz28-8.957@151.60, 94 Z28, LME 383, 350 shot

Im sure we will see 8's on a really good day and just the first stage of nitrous. The block has recently concreted and girdled and is a 4 bolt splayed main caps so a 250 shot should get the job done. We are just adding the additional 250 shot for Dyno queen purposes. It'll handle it.

Mike congrats on the numbers. The guys and I at BBR are just eager to see that monster hit the track. Maybe even get a friendly run in.
