Default Just finished building my new AR.....

I went ahead and built myself an AR today! I found a Rock River Arms stripped lower receiver a few weeks ago at a gun show and picked it up. I then got a Del-Ton 16" M4 style rifle kit and a Primary Arms M4 red dot with 3x magnifier. I also got a Matech BUIS and a YHM free float diamond extended quad rail handguard and a set of rail covers. I already had a foregrip so I stuck that on as well. All in all I think it turned out well! Here are two quick snaps of it:

I got the rifle kit for $510 shipped to my door and the stripped lower receiver was $120, so for about $630 I built the rifle. The extras were a couple hundred more, but I think they are well worth it! As soon as I get the chance I'm going to take her to the range and start sighting everything in! I'm going to try and get a cantilever mount for the magnifier, I don't like how close I have to get to the rifle to utilize the optics. I'd hate to remove the BUIS, they'd be nice to keep on if I needed them.

Yes, yes you do! Check out Del-Ton's rifle kits, they come with everything you need (lower parts kit and assembled upper) minus the stripped lower receiver. Assembling the lower receiver wasn't so bad, the two roll pins were the hardest part.

It's my first AR, but not my first firearm build. I've done an SKS:

And worked with my dad on upgrading his CETME:

For my AR, I really just want to enjoy it. My parents have some land that we shoot on and my dad is a member of the local gun club so we shoot out on their range as well. I probably go out once a month with him and this AR is going to start heading out there with me every time!
