I put 6k (white) HID's on my car because the wiring for my OEM lo-beams got corroded and didn't light up the road much anyways.

Every dually gets flashed for lights. Dumbass people don't realize that trucks sit higher therefore the headlight beam is higher, which usually means it looks like hi-beams to cars.

Might want to get your eyes checked it you can't see with the stock headlights.
You probably are the type of person that installed LED lights on the license plate lights and interior lights. What's next, yellow fog lights and side markers?

C5 Vette with new lights < HID 4k Lights
I love them in my truck because it is a lot brighter (I have 5k, but I wanted 4500). If standard lights were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!! Then why do most of the upper end cars use them?

Never said standard lights were soooooooooooooooooooooooooo good, HIDs in regular headlight lenses just glares light everywhere which blinds people. That's why I said oem HIDs are good because they have projectors and cut off lines.

You guys are pretty harsh for running around with modified cars LOL
I'll risk the ticket for better lighting, if you guys consider stock 4th gen lighting to be adequate you are sorely mistaken.
They are also legal if they conform to FMVSS 108, though it would see that to do so requires an entire swap (projectors) or you'd definitely be in violation.

IMO, leave the HID's for the 16 year olds with fart can toting civics. You dont need them to make your car look flashy, its just annoying as hell for the person youre driving towards.

I don't think most of us are doing it to be flashy, I'd really rather not run over another semi tire in the middle of the road because I couldn't see it (thanks to factory lights).
I make lots of frequent long trips and would much rather avoid it being a dog, deer, etc. next time, I like to see where I am driving, and value the life of the people in my car.
Again I am not advocating "retrofit" HID in the reflector housings or even those cheap black housings. If you want HID, this is the way to do it: http://www.blackbirdlighting.com/
(same as what the OP uses from the sound of it)

[QUOTE=gun4hire;13809572]Then you aren't the typical non factory HID user we are discussing.

Maybe you shouldn't be driving at night or get your eyes checked son.

I hold tight groups at 100yds with an 85 year old rifle in a poorly lit indoor range. I'm more apt to blame the stock lighting system with 103k miles on it ya hater. Oh and you broke the quotes...
