This wasnt directed at me, but I will wager friendly or unfriendly if you like that a supra will not hold the mile record. The Supra was the one to beat for a long time, but the FGT's and the Gallardos have come into their own and Im sorry but cars like Ray Hoffman's FGT simply out class all that came before it.
Correct. Just in body design alone... it will be hard for the supra to overcome now for 250++

hey atleast they will try...it took $200K+++ supercars that needed another $100k in mods to beat a little JAP car...
im hoping that AMIT with the red supra that ran 243MPH would come back..he has the funds to play with these big boys..he owns like 5 supras..
his car did make over 1700HP at Gforce!!!
too bad im broke these days..or else i would join the action

The previous TX Mile events were not about beating the mighty Supra, they were about beating SW's wallet. SW can build just about any car to haul ***, if he wants to. He hasn't invested nearly the time or money into cars like the FGT, Corvette, etc... like he has his Supra. His Gallardo is a good example.
Mike, you old grump! Plenty of us work for what we have, not everyone grows up wealthy like Powell did.

Wealthy = Friendswood kids with Jags, Lexus's, etc... I was just a normal Pearland kid with a Mustang that got thrown into the "rich kid" school my senior year!

someone else brought up NRE...and i asked who is sitting at the top of the points lead?? how many wins they have in the same class as the guy running a 2JZ..
we then discussed about the mile..i just compared the cars that are there...
i might be bad at spelling and grammar...but im smart enough to follow a thread...not like some of the retards here..

i said that we were laughing at those types of guys that used to make fun of us when we would showed up at the track with our little ricers back in the days..yeah we had our little ricers..but we did grow up and did something for ourselves while those same fools are driving the same cars..just like alot of the same guys here make fun of the imports/ricers out there...
