Mike, you old grump! Plenty of us work for what we have, not everyone grows up wealthy like Powell did.
thats not really true..because Tommy won it a couple of times and his Supra ran 247 mph last march!!!!

this thread was supposed to start some **** talking..what did you expected from reading the title??

saying the supra needed a real engine??

well no one has stepped up to tell me how that NRE motor/setup has done against the REAL SUPRA motor in competive racing??

and how much does it really cost to build a NRE motor vs a motor that anyone can goto a junk yard and buy and drop it off at BL/TITAN and can hold over 1500HP, run 7s, and do 247MPH?????????

do ya want to close the thread now???????? LMFAO!!!!

Compared to Pearland (at least back when I was in Highschool 98-02) there was a difference. I had one of the "nicer" cars at Pearland and it was my 98 Cobra. When I went to Friendswood my Cobra was just a Mustang when kids were showing up in new IS300s, BMWs, etc... Not like MEGA rich like Ferraris/Lambos, but still really nice cars when you compare them to a Mustang.

And the Alvin kids would roll through Friendswood on their way to Baybrook Mall in their 1982 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Out of curiosity, how hard is it to find a 2JZ in the local yards? Or is there a specific yard that carries them?

thats why i thought it was kind of ironic that you brought up that motor combo setup..the main guy running that set-up (NRE) cant even beat the 2jz setup in the adrl..funny huh??

and they are dirt cheap!! (not making 1500HP that is)

u can get a 2JZ block that came out of the lexus sc300, gs300, is300, supras...

or u can just buy a complete 2JZ twin turbo motor and tranny (auto) from Japan with all the accessories/harness/turbos ready to drop into any car for around $2k..

why do u think even the rednecks are doing it??? its so cheap and easy....

sorry if you don't like it, here's a tissue.

I know I'm a grump Tony. I have become better with keeping my comments to myself. Every now and again things irritate me.

Did bad *** for 16 lbs though, i dont make enough to mess with a I6 that is boost dependent, when i do the single in my car it will still be carbed and cheap as hell, i have fractions of what most have in my var because i cannot dish out others to do the work for me, tuning ect.

And Rednecks are retarded, so that is no excuse for them doing anything what so ever
