I had Kim Barr assemble a motor for me a week ago. Three day turnaround time. You should give him a call.

i dont plan on taking my car to get work done cause i'd rather do it myself BUT if i ever do i will only take it to a well known shop that i have seen the stuff they put out. in houston it's easy we have plenty of good shops around here for chevy's and fords, im not sure about other cities though. no offense to that person but this is to everyone, yall gotta start doing some research on what your buying and ask around and not just throw "joe the mechanic" 2k and expect nothing less than top notch. glad he got the tune takin care of but it could have been a lot worse like leaning the motor out too much and really ****** some **** up!

If its the davis street in oak cliff, I would have never taken my car there to begin with! Shady buisness is every wheer but oak cliff is where to get a bootleg inspection not a cam and tune to me. Glad you got it figured out and everything is back up to par. This is why investigation is good before trusting any to, dick, and harry.

Im just going to say,
In my personal dealing's with XHP and the team there, I was handled well, and would suggest them to others. My current tune was done there, by a consultant tuner (Chris Macellaro) and I picked up 17rwhp!
So yeah.. I spent $300 and got 17. Was very happy.
Now that was 2-3 years ago, so who knows whats going on there now. But they have always been nice to me, so if that means anything, cool. If not, no biggie. Hope it all gets resolved man.

Orval is a ******* *****. I've avoided his **** shop since the first time I took my car there and literally wasted my time, sat around for 3 hours getting egr/air tuned out with no one but me in the shop.

It doesn't look like they're a sponsor on here anymore so maybe this thread won't be deleted like the many others previously posted about them. This is why I don't trust LS1tech sponsors anymore.
Arvil couldn't tune to save his life. My car ran as bad after his tune as it did on the previous tune for the 226 cam, after the 240/244 was installed. It sucks cruising down 121 to have your car die twice at highway speed on a dyno tune that someone just told you was spot on. I went back to talk to him about it twice and twice he actually told me, "Sometimes you just can't get those big cams to idle." Got it retuned elsewhere and it picked up 30 whp and 20 lb/ft with infinately better drivability. Its funny how smooth it idles now.
They also don't want to fix things they mess up. My clutch wasn't right after they installed the engine. I mention it and he immediately wants $300 to check if its the slave cyl. I had enough at that point and went to SQR. The engine was leaking oil from the crank all over my 3 mo old LS7 clutch. Called Arvil and he wouldn't do a thing about it and got pissed because I wnet to another shop to fix his mistakes.

I was told good and bad things about every shop in DFW. I couldn't get a concrete recomendation about a shop. I went out of town. I will drive to get the work done the proper way. Picking up over 20hp is worth it to me.
