I'm guessing the OP is the only one that has owned his SS or he wouldn't have posted this.

If he bought it used he might have thought about that first.

I'm the 3rd owner. But have ran a carfax on both vins. The other car (vin ending in 4443) is a 1 owner car and is currently registered.

Carfax doesnt mean anything, only shows up if a reputable body shop fixes the car. Ive seen quite a few clean carfax cars with prior wreck damage.

Also, if work the work was done before CarFax was around. My car had about $14K in damage back in '97 and was done by a reputable/large shop at a dealer here in Houston. The carfax still shows clean and no wrecks as I was curious and had one pulled last year. Personally I wouldn't trust carfax a lot and especially on cars pre2000.

I wasnt checking carfax for wrecks, i was checking it for registration. where the car is now. that is how i found out about Troup, TX, 1 owner, etc. plus he maintained it at the dealership alot, and last registered miles were around 27k, 2 months ago. so id imagine its a clean car. when i find some thing out ill let yall know
