Yea he built the one for the 99 SS. I watched him do it and it took him about 2-3 hours. That included cleaning the case! As for putting it together, he took a bucket of parts and turned it into a rebuilt trans in about an hour!!!

I hate when that happens. Now you need to rearrainge your schedule to get your car back together. I guess that is a good problem. Wish this would happen more often.

Now I know where to send people with a T56 problem.

I am off till friday night, 6 on 3 off, so it will be running by today probably and get some break in time, probably drive it all week, just need some synthetic fluid and change the engine oil while i am at it.

And yes, mad props to Scott, he will even let you know what fluid and break in procedures as well as what clutches he prefers for the best engagement and disengagement.

Well

Well

Well

Just finished the install(did the rear seal and installed the LCAs i need to complete the suspension), took a bit longer due to working on a couple other things that needed to be corrected, but DAMN it feels good to have 2nd gear, shifter better than before and this thing isnt even broke in yet, just drive it for 5 minutes to get a heat cycle in, but when i bought it the damn thing was used and would not go into 1st gear till i was at a dead stop, someone tried to tell me it was a hydraulic clutch issue, but they were wrong, was the trans like i thought it was because now it goes in whenever i want it to.

Scott recommended the Mobil 1 synthetic fluid and at 8$ a Qt for 4 quarts i am sure it was worth it to make the trans run a bit cooler and last allot longer, sure the quick shifts will also be better as well.

Thanks again Scott, you are a BAMF T56 re builder!
