Default FYI To Someone @ HKE

When I visit you all's new online store it tries to download a trojan, and comes up as a malicious site in Firefox: http://store.hkracingengines.com/

I think that guy that scammed you knew you would eventually go to their site...so he hacked it and put a trojan to wait to ambush you. Sucks man.

the folks hosting your domain/site were probably compromised, it appeared that malicious content might have come from a russian site (.ru)

more likely that somebody with FTP access to this site had the passwords saved in their FTP client and got a virus. I see this all the time at my job. Once you get the bad code removed you have to submit to google using Webmaster tools to have them re-review it to get that warning off.

Yupp, or the person developing the website used a FTP client that was downloaded illegally (like smartFTP), and the person that nulled the torrent edited the software to store all the info that people type in it, see it all the time.

It sucks, because for SEO purposes, it will be hard to get that page to rank high now. They are lucky it's on a subdomain so it doesn't affect the entire domain, so they can just move it to like store2.hkracingengines.com now. Either way, subdomains suck for SEO, it's hard to get them to rank, I would just move it to hkracingengines.com/buylsxparts or something like that.

If anyone at HKE needs help with this, I can help...
