Do you hand wax them? I never knew what color pad mattered? Or is it that they distinguish the color of the pad by material type? Like one color is softer or rougher than another.

Good stuff man, always admire your work.

Yes, as JP mentioned you're correct. The different colors denote different abrassiveness along with the product used in conjuction with it. Different combinations give you different results for different clear coats.

I do not hand wax with my bare hands or an applicator pad.

My reasoning for not doing it by hand is I personally feel you can not evenly spread the product utilizing your hands as the pressure is not consistent. With a DA/pad, it is much easier and uniformed.

Thank you for the kind words. Really means a lot.

Car looks good, as usual

It has just been too hot lately down here so I've taken a month or so off from detailing. About to start up again in mid October though.

Keep up the good work.

One question though, when you say you used SFX 'polish' followed by SFX 'blaizin maize' what polish were you using? I'm not familiar with that from SFX.

Thank you and I hear you on the heat. I had to take a few breaks and went through 2 gallons of water.

Take a look at their site and scroll through their products. I'm not sure if it is listed on there any longer but I pick up my stuff directly from Steve. It's the same as his old Tropicare line but with a different name. The polish is just that. The blazin maize is the wax.
