Their owner is pretty cool. Wish he owned the Astros. Good luck. I think y'all have a decent chance against the Rays.

Get pegged in the face with a line drive? No problem. Get the K and go to the dugout.

Young douches want to start some ****? No problem. Beat their *** and move on.

Team is pretty much the cinderella of the mlb market since they have one of the lowest payrolls. Ever since nolan arrived pitching has been better and Cliff Lee has just added to it. The odds of winning the series in a best of 5 if you win game 1 are almost 99%.

As long as pitching steps up the Rangers have a chance. Tampa is a tough team, basically the twin to the Rangers. They are all about baserunning and hitting with 1-2 shutdown pitchers. I still see the Twins knocking out the Yanks, CC will win two for them at least. As for the north, Phillies look pretty strong, with 3 solid pitchers. Rangers have a chance though.

Come on Ross, you know the Stros turned it up towards end, as usual. Just were in to much of a hole. Chris Johnson is going to be a beast.

I've got that Ventura picture hanging in my game room. Not a rangers fan, but I'm rooting for them. I'm hoping my braves can do something for Bobby!

Yeah. They did a good job in the 2nd half. Chris Johnson is looking good at the plate, but his glove is like an iron skillet. He needs to work on his defense. I'm sure it will come around.

well im goign for thr rangers my red sox blew it with injuries this year. sucked because buckholz and lester were both cy young contenders with dan near 20 wins each. least we beat ny and made the lose the al east title to the rays lol. we beat the yanks when we were down 3-1 came back and won 3 straight. so ive seen stranger things i got faith in the rangers.

Its not about respect imo. They are giving us a shot, especially with Lee.

The problem is who on our team has post season experience?? Vlad? Lee? Hamilton?

I think we will be just fine if these people step up like they are capable of being a threat.

Hambone
Young
Murphy
Vlad
Cruz
Andrews

We have a very strong potential for a lineup with alot of the above guys batting above 275 since august atleast.....I Hope josh and murphy are back healthy cause they could make a night and day difference. Our pitching should hold its own for the most part.

As someone who was a fan through the Arlington Stadium days, I'd have to say this is a long time coming. I'm happy to see them in it, getting some attention and hopefully respect. I think we can take the Rays but we tend to lose consistently to the Yankees for some reason.

I got to see Nolan pitch a few times at Arlington Stadium. He was the gem of that team for sure. Interesting fact: Pudge Rodriguez caught the Ventura headlock game, and he is still in the league, having been with both Texas teams, including the Rangers twice.

He caught Ryan, and also Strassburg's first MLB game.

Got to love having a TV in my office. 2-0 Rangers 2nd inning, Cliff got in trouble with bases loaded but got out of it. Francuer got a double off the wall.
