Default Oklahoma is a shithole

Went up their for a job interview. First, thing I noticed is shitty as roads, almost as bad as Louisiana. Next, theirs only 3 ****** gas stations in the whole damn state that have 93 octane. I spent 2 hours, and multiple Google searches to find one. To top it off it was 4.21 a gallon. Third, everyone that works their is just 1/2 a step slower than the rest of the world. **** that state/rant

won't know till this weekend. It's more the 93 octane thing that pisses me off than anything else.

I lived in OK for 8 years, part of it in the middle of nowhere near the panhandle. 92 octane is easily found and runs just as well as 93.

LA roads arent that bad. Dont know about OK. Everyone will agree on here that Texas has some crappy spots too. Just like anything else, depends on what part of the state you drive.

So are you going to accept the job if they give it lol

Im talking about seeing bumps in the road the size of speed bumps. I was driving back from OKC and kept on thinking one of my tire must be going bad. Top it all off, are the pot holes and shitty patch jobs. I dont know how you would even drive triple digits on those roads. I was going 95 at one point and started skipping, had to slow back down.

To the other guy 92 is not 93. If you have a FI car tuned for 93 you run 93.

The job is actually here in the Austin area. I had to meet the owners ASAP as they are going to name the GM of a property like today or tomorrow.

Also what the **** is the octane of Gumout octane booster. I ask this, because i had to fill 2 gallons of 91 and put 2 bottles in to get me by until i found a gas station with 93.

Hot Rod or some other car mag did a octane booster test many years ago. (Yes, I'm old.) They found that IF they did raise the octane it was measured in decimals.

You my friend were most likely driving around on less octane with your 93 octane tune.

Did you really just say this? Your an idiot. Your car WILL NOT know the difference between 92 and 93. Heck the way the state tests it you can actually get 91 qualified as 93. (if you got bad 92 then yeah maybe that was the case, but otherwise I have had so many HP cars and bikes in OK and they have run just as good there as anywhere else in the US)

Also if you were in OKC, you obviously didn't look very hard. Every Sinclair has 93, and in the northern part QT all has 93.

OK is no Austin, but when you think about how much you save in OK You can take trips anywhere.

as far as the roads, your kidding me right? Cali has roads so much worse then OK, and most of Houston is worse too (except the new hwy's)

I think only one gas station in Lubbock carried 93 when I lived there. High alts / crappy air = really no need for high octane. People used to say they picked up .5 in the 1/4 going to Dallas/Houston.

I bet the roads were similar to Oklahoma also. No drainage system at all, the water just sits on the road. It was fun riding a GSXR through a foot of water.

I may not know the difference, but my car will. When it hits 11lbs of boost and starts to knock or go kaboom. I pretty much stayed outa boost through out the whole state of OK. I was in and around OKC and southern OK. You think they would advertise this **** online. I had to sift through a subaru website to find the info.
