Bill Warner set the new track record and World Fastest "Sit On" bike record with his busa.... 278.6 mph... Like everyone else has mentioned, the wind was horrible. My other buddy Tommy Gates went 254mph on his busa and has been 261mph at Goliad back in March so......The wind was a major factor, especially for bikes.... Cross winds and 2 wheels dont mix well.... Luckily no one was seriously hurt or killed at this event..

Worlds fastest "Sit on" motocycle.....(...ie not streamliner) 600+rwhp

That bike set the record for a wheel driven vehicle. Only thing that has been down the mile faster is the jet car several years ago!

Guy on the bike said it had more in it but I know he said it was getting HOT (coolant temps in the 240s). Plus the weather dropped out so not sure he wanted to risk the bike since the weather wasn't there.

Cobra wont have an official time as he wasn't tech'd for speeds over 190. All I can say is "unofficially" it was above that Felt bad he got the boot but part of it I guess.

Hope to see everyone out there in March. As for a 300mph pass, I dont see a car doing that for a LONG time.

William

Eddie Bellow was hot lapping the Porsche towards the end of the day, going 222 to 228 each time making changes. But think he hurt his motor on his last pass. Now he is driving it back to Florida - hope he makes it back with no problems.

Yea that porsche was awesome. So was the brown/gray supra. Guys were making consistent 200mph passes hot lapping them. Very cool to see cars doing that!

Had a nice time out there the whole weekend. We had our RV located close to the 1 mile marker and seen first hand the accident with the Lambo. The chute caused that one. It was great hearing that he was ok. The wind was terrible to say the least. Some good cook''n, beer and crown made it for a fun weekend.

Pieces were coming OUT of the Ford. That was a rescue vehicle so they were being offloaded at the trailer. I didn't see what they did with the car. Did the tow truck take it off the property?

That'll buff out, no problem...

All kidding aside, I'm glad that Richard was able to walk away. Having seen the wreck in person, we thought the outcome would have been much worse. Guardian angel was watching out for Mr. Holt.
