i went to school in college station (where freebirds started) when there were only 2 or 3 in the entire town.
it was good. but honestly... it NEVER compared to chipotle.
rice at chipotle is better.
steak and chicken are dried out and suck at BOTH PLACES.
goto chipotle and order the BARBACOA for the meat... its the only way to go.
(personally i ask for no beans, extra meat and never get turned down.... medium salsa, cheese and sour cream... none of the other junk....)
freebirds is good. but the quality of ingredients is significantly better at chipotle.
and ALL freebirds i have ever been to (all 3 locations in college station and 2 in houston) are run by tatted up hippie kids. in fact TWO of my room mates in college worked at freebirds, i ate there free all of the time... and i still prefer Chipotle.
mission burrito, however, may be better than both.. as far as quality goes, but they SKIMP you to hell. burritos are tiny if you dont order EVERYTHING... im just a meat and potatoes guy and i never get enough at Mission.

Chipotle FTW. I went to Freebirds in Fort worth when it first opened up off of 35 and Heritage Trace and I had to repeat myself 10 ******* times b/c all the the people that worked there were high as hell and there were some nasty hippie mother *******. Im not sure about the rest of you but when I see nasty *** people making my food it kind of makes me not want it so much anymore. But I ate there and never again just not that great.

Qdoba is way better than Chipotle. Qdoba has the best queso ever. That stuff is awesome on nachos! Sucks for me being in san antonio and the closest one is in Dallas.
